The house is finally finished! There were seemingly a million tiny jobs to be done before the real estate agent could tour the house and take her photos. But take them she eventually did and the house was rented just two days later, before she even had a chance to advertise it. There isn’t much to tell so let’s get straight into the photos! (All photo credits go to my father-in-law and our lovely agent).

I couldn’t get all the photos as recreations but I hope it gives a good idea of how much it has changed!
Interior – Before and After
This one was even harder to create replications of the before photos – a third of the house was completely demolished and redesigned!
Lounge Before Lounge After – absolutely everything! Kitchen Before Kitchen After – new stovetop, new rangehood, varnished window frame and linoleum replaced by tiles Kitchen Before Kitchen After – new blind, new floor, repainted Hall Before Hall After – but also facing the opposite direction Third Bedroom Before Third Bedroom Before Third Bedroom After – absolutely everything except the window itself and the tree outside! Back door and Laundry Before Back Door and Laundry After Bathroom Before Bathroom After – completely new, even the location! Second Bedroom Ensuite from Second Bedroom
I didn’t have a before photo of the ensuite, as it used to be that old useless cupboard. I think it is much more useful now!
This closes the chapter on our project! Thank you so much for following along – I hope you have enjoyed reading about about our 1940s stone cottage renovation.
